ADC disowns Alfa as Adamawa party chairman

National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Raphael Okey Nwosu, yesterday disowned Ephraim Alfa as the party’s chairman in Adamawa state.
Nwosu said that at no time was Alfa elected ADC Adamawa state chairman or mandated to act in such capacity.
Nwosu in a personally signed statement pointedly declared that Nigerians should not deal with Alfa as chairman of our great party in Adamawa state because he was never elected as such.
According to him, the clarification is sequel to an interlocutory injunction granted by a high court in Adamawa restraining the ADC from conducting its primary elections schedule to hold by the end of September.
The statement reads in part, “Alfa Ephraim was at no time elected as state chairman of the party in Adamawa.
All members and Nigerians in general should desist from recognizing and dealing with Alfa as ADC chairman in Adamawa state.” Alfa had few days back in Abuja, gone to court to obtain an exparte motion restraining the ADC from conducting its primary elections
