ADP ‘ll chase out PDP in Ekiti, governorship aspirant assures

A governorship aspirant of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) Otunba Segun Adewale, has said that his party has been positioned to defeat the incumbent People Democratic Party (PDP) in the coming election in Ekiti state.
Adewale, popularly known as “Osa pra pra,” said his intention to run for the exalted office was borne out of the clarion call to rescue the people of Ekiti state from what he describes as “the shackles of tyranny and lack of focused leadership which the people are currently experiencing under the PDP led-administration.”
Speaking when he visited the national secretariat of ADP in Abuja to pick his nomination forms, Adewale promised that if elected, he will restore sanity in the public service by promoting hardwork and dedication to service.
According to him, Agriculture, Education, Tourism and Industrialization would be his priorities.
“I will cut down wastage in governance and elevate the standard of living of the people of Ekiti State to become a centre of attraction by investors from both home and abroad” .
Earlier, while addressing party members, the National Secretary of the Party, Dr. James Okoroma disclosed that although the ADP was barely one year old, “the party has gained the confidence of most Nigerians nationwide due to its commitment to internal party democracy and have provided a level-playing field to all party members desirous of aspiring for any political office.
Okoroma enjoined the people of Ekiti State to come out enmasse and vote out leaders whose performance is considered abysmal and incoherent with democratic principles.
On his part, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Otunba Yemi Adetoyinbo described Adewale as “a square peg in a square hole”, considering his track record and pedigree, especially coming from the private sector.
“The ADP is prepared to win the 2018 governorship election in Ekiti State because of the woeful failure and maladministration of the PDP government in the State”, he said.
