Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has described Super Eagles quarter final victory as a sign that Nigeria can achieve greatness if united as country.
The Governor stated this in a press release signed by his director of press and public affairs, Solomon Gujor, Thursday evening in Jos.
“The victory of the national football team, the Super Eagles as representative of the greatness that Nigeria can achieve as a united country,” he said.
The release said, Lalong who recently led a federal government delegation to Egypt to show support for the Super Eagles, further enjoined the players to sustain the tempo of their brilliant performance in order to bring home the trophy.
He further called on all Nigerians to pray for the team as they seek victory over their remaining opponents and glory for the country.
