AFCON: Nigeria vs Benin Rohr orders Osimhen, Musa, Aribo to gun down Squirrels

Nigeria begin her campaign for a place in 2021 Africa Cup of Nations with a home fixture against Group L opponents, Benin Republic with gaffer Gernot Rohr ordering the likes of hitman Victor Oshimen, Ahmed Musa and new sensation Joe Aribo to shoot down the boastful Squirrels of Benin Republic in emphatic manner.

Rohr is enjoying the full complement of his wards as virtually all the key players invited for the encounter except Bryan Idowu who pulled out at the last minute are already in Uyo rearing to kickstart another AFCON campaign.

Prior to this encounter, the Super Eagles had played Ukraine and Brazil in international friendlies to strengthen the team with positive results especially against the Samba Boys in Singapore ending in draw.

On the other hand, Benin coach Michel Dussuyer will be eyeing a positive result in Uyo, and has picked 14 players who featured in Egypt 2019 for this clash

After scaling the Squirrels’ hurdle, the three-time African champions will travel to Maseru for Sunday’s tie against Lesotho in what promises to be an interesting encounter.
