The acting Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs Christy Uba, has visited the family of the composer of NYSC Anthem, Late Oluwole Adetiran, Friday in Lagos.
Adetiran composed the NYSC Anthem during his serve year at The Polytechnic Ibadan, Oyo state, in 1984.
During the visit to the family the NYSC boss said the legacy late Adetiran left behind has outlived him, noting that the Anthem was a wake-up call to national consciousness, selfless service, national unity and integration among corps members.
Uba, who prayed for the repose of the deceased, assured that the NYSC would always associate with the family.
While welcoming the agency boss and her entourage, wife of the deceased, Mrs Olufemi Elizabeth Adetiran, said the visit had rekindled the hope of the family that the scheme holds the Adetiran family in high esteem.
