Barely two days after kidnappers abducted eight people in Karji, a Kaduna suburb, demanding N24 million ransom, the dare-devil men struck again on Friday night and abducted two people in the same suburb.
The armed bandits stormed Karji, along Yakowa way, Chikun local government area of Kaduna state on Wednesday where they abducted eight people demanding for N10 million ransom for one of the victims and N2 million ransom each for the remaining seven abductees.
Even as the residents, amid fear wondered how they will raise the ransom, the kidnappers struck again Friday night at about 10pm shooting sporadically.
They ransacked houses, and picked two people, then escaped before security agents could arrive to rescue the victims.
They equally shot at another victim severally, leaving him dead, even as he battles for his life in the intensive care unit of an unnamed hospital.
They were yet to demand any ransom for their latest victims.
One of the residents of the area, who craved anonymity said they now live in fear, even as many of them have deserted their houses for any safe place, where they would be shielded from the rampaging kidnappers.
“I thank God for seeing this day!!! Kidnappers are on rampage in Karji, Yakowa road. They have invaded our area, eight people were taken on Wednesday, for which they are demanding N10 million ransom for one of them and N2 million each for the other seven persons.
