Again, monarch appeals to FCTA, Bwari chair on infrastructure

By Donald Iorchir

With the rising dearth of infrastructure in Dei-Dei community, the village head, Malam Saidu Hamza Sani, has again appealed to the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and Bwari area council to make provision for basic infrastructure in the community.
Sani said it had become imperative to remind the government of its promises to the community as well as draw its attention to the plights of the residents.
He said most of the basic infrastructure were not provided to the community for people to enjoy them.
According to him, both the FCTA and chairman of Bwari area council, Musa Dikko, should not forget about the infrastructure deficit being experienced in the area and ensure that the issues are addressed.
The traditional ruler disclosed that the entire community “has no potable water, decent clinic and a well-equipped school.”
He told our correspondent in Dei-Dei yesterday that the population within the area was increasing without any provision from the government.
The community spokesman lamented the situation whereby the only clinic within the area operates without the desired health personnel and facilities.
On whether the appropriate authorities are informed of the challenges at the community, he said: “The situation in Dei-Dei is not a new thing; FCT administration and Bwari area council are aware of our plights. They usually come around and see, we even laid the complaint to them yet no solution, but as a leader of this community I am still urging them not to forget about us.”
