Some aggrieved members of the Indigenous Contractors Association of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have insisted on street protest over nonpayment of their various contracts fee by the FCT Administration.
The members also accused their executives of dancing to the tune the FCT administration against their wish and barring them from protesting.
Speaking with newsmen in Abuja, one of the aggrieved contractors, Mr. Emeka Chukwu, who could not hide his displeasure with the executive members of the association, said “our members have been bared severally by our executives from protesting against the FCT administration over nonpayment of our various contracts fee.”

Chukwu said the aggrieved members recently engaged in a heated argument with the executives over the same issue.
He said: “We recently had a rowdy session which almost resulted in a free for all fight with the executives during one of our meetings to register our grievances. We feel that the executives are not doing enough to champion our interests and the only way out is to have a street protest against the FCT administration so that they will pay us our money.
“Most of our members are suffering because they have put in all they have in to the project. We are not begging, we are asking them to pay us for the labour we have rendered since our executives have failed us.”
