Ahman-Patigi solicits for unity among APC members

A member representing Moro/Edu/ Patigi Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon Ali AhmanPatigi, has charged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his constituency to continue working in unison as one big family and ignore any issue that could distract the party from attaining its set goals and objectives.

A statement by his media assistant, Fatimah Jiyah, quoted the lawmaker as giving the charge at the weekend during a closed-door meeting he held with APC elders from Moro local government area of the state on how best to move the party forward. While promising to up his open door policy, the lawmaker assured that suggestions and advice of party members would be welcomed at all times.

The lawmaker revealed that he had constituted a sixty- member elders’ committee cutting across the three local government areas of his constituency. The committee, according to him, is to serve as intermediary between him and his people, and also to ensure that more dividends of democracy get to them. The lawmaker enjoined members of the party to continue to demonstrate absolute loyalty to the leader of the party in the state and Senate President Bukola Saraki and the state government.

He assured that the party and the government would do everything possible to improve their living standards, but solicited for greater unity and more understanding. Responding, some members of the elders committee who were present at the meeting, assured Hon. Ahman -Patigi of their support and co-operation as he continues to pilot the affairs of the constituency.

They also commended the lawmaker for his numerous developmental projects in his constituency especially in the provision of potable water and road construction, even as they asked for more of such projects and other empowerment programmes.
