Aim for the best, Miss Universe tells young people

The reigning Miss Universe Nigeria 2022, Hannah Iribhogbe, has urged young Nigerians to remain focused in their academic pursuit to achieve their desired goals.

Iribhogbe stated this during a visit to Aduvie International School, Abuja, weekend.

She told the students that in their desire to make a difference in Nigeria as well as the world, there is need to to make a difference in the society and the country.

The beauty queen disclosed that she is passionate about charity, mental health and girls’ education and assured that she hopes to ensure that a lot more awareness is created during her reign.

“This is something that inspires me to want to do more for society. I feel that when women and girls take up the space in society, they are given an opportunity to better themselves. Women do not usually get the same opportunities as the men, so I am here to stand as an inspiration to all the girls and make a difference in the society.

“On mental health, this is something we do not take seriously, we take it lightly. I want people to be able to freely talk about what they are struggling with in a bid to ensure incidence of suicide especially among young people is reduced,” she said.

Iribhogbe enjoined the students’ not be satisfied with their current level but always strive to do better in all areas of life.

“Every day you are a work in progress, no one is perfect, be confident in yourself, believe in yourself. You can achieve what you want to achieve by being determined. Impossible is nothing, work hard and with education and hard work, you will get there.

“We are humans and bound to make mistakes. Things can be hard sometimes, but try to give yourself positive affirmations always. Speak positive things to yourself and what you say happens most times,” she stated.
