Air strikes kill Boko haram terrorists inside new enclave

Fighter jets and helicopter gunships of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Friday killed several Boko Haram terrorists inside their new enclave at MANA WAJI in Borno state, North-east Nigeria.

The air strikes executed series of aerial surveillance missions carried out by the NAF revealed that the new settlement was being used by the terrorists to store weapons and logistics items and as well as plan and stage attacks.

According to Maj. Gen. Enenche, Coordinator Defence Media Operations, the terrorists fled the location after they  sighed the NAF aircraft.

“Consequently, in a preemptive move, the NAF attack aircraft engaged the new location in successive passes, leading to the destruction of some of the structures and logistics stores. Several insurgents were also neutralised in the process,” Enenche said.
