Airtel launches 4G network in Enugu



Airtel Nigeria Tuesday, launched its 4G LTE (long term evolution device) in major cities and towns in Enugu state in its bid to improve users mobile internet experience.

Regional Operations Director, South Region, Dapo Dosumu who represented the Managing Director, Airtel Nigeria, Segun Ogunsanya at the launch,  said that the switch over to an upgraded 4G network is a major step In actualising the network’ objectives of making life simple and better for Nigerians.

He said that the launch of 4G in Enugu was not just a launch, “but a total modernization of the Airtel Network infrastructure in Enugu with a new and innovative offerings that will empower and offer real value to the great people of this state.”

According to him,  the launch also serves as a glowing testimony of the network’s  commitment to partner and empower the good people of Enugu state as well as create value for all stakeholders. 

He stated that 60% of the state has so far been covered by the network and that it hopes to cover more towns and villages between July and August.

He said that 4G comes with tons of benefits which includes; acceleration of economic and commercial activities,  boosting of personal and professional productivity as well as the creation of more entrepreneurs.

“With 4G,  Airtel will also power people businesses and aid governance through technology. Ours is a 4G service that is not only fast and reliable but a 4G service that works.

” I must say that I am very proud of this roll-out because we have put in a lot of work.to  ensure that we offer Nigerians a true 4G experience, ” he said
