Akeredolu charges panel on fairness

The Ondo state government has charged probe panel inaugurated to look into the crisis between  Araromi-Obu and Ikales  people over dispute on land  to  be fair to all in their duties.

Following the inauguration of the panel in the crisis which erupted over land dispute between the people of Araromi Obu and Ikale (Ago Alaye), the Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, has directed government officials to stop making public comments or statements on the matter. 

A press statement issued by Senior Special Assistant (media and publicity) , Ojo Oyewamide, said the action becomes imperative in order to allow the panel set up by government to be dispassionate in its assignments. 

He said  the  governor believes in the sanctity of the process already put in place and that  underscores the need for all to avoid the path of prejudice.

He added that the directive does not in any way inhibit private suggestions from individuals to the panel by way of Memorandum on issues that will promote a more harmonious relationship between the affected communities.
