Akeredolu tasks new commissioners on loyalty

The Ondo state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has warned political appointees in the state that he will not tolerate disloyalty under any guise.

Speaking at the swearing- in ceremony of four new commissioners held at the International Culture and Events Centre, Akure, Ondo state, he noted that he would not hesitate to sack any disloyal appointee.

The new commissioners sworn in at the event are: Donald Ojogo, Olayiwola Aminu, Wale Akinterinwa and Charles Titiloye.

The governor described the four new commissioners as loyal and trustworthy aides.

He charged members of their families and friends not to mount unnecessary pressures on them. He said mounting pressure on the new appointees will distract them from discharging their duties diligently.

In a similar vein, the Ondo state government has commenced the distribution of 1,000 employment letters to the newly-recruited teachers under the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

The distribution of the appointment letters is coming after the conduct of an online examination to ensure that the best brains are selected among the applicants.

Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Olabode Richard Olatunde, confirmed that the distribution of the appointment letters commenced since last Friday.

He said the successful applicants were selected based on their performance at the online examination conducted last year.

Governor Akeredolu had assured that his administration would employ teachers to fill vacant positions in all the schools across the state.

The recruitment of teachers in the state by the Akeredolu’s administration is coming after 13 years since the Adefarati’s administration recruited the last set of teachers for the state.
