Akpabio gave us uncommon representation in the senate- Constituents

Stakeholders of Ikot Ekpene senatorial district has appraised the performance of Senator Godswill Akpabio in 8th senate and rated him as the best performing senator in the district since the creation of the state from Cross River state.

The stakeholders described Senator Akpabio, the former governor of Akwa  Ibom state and senate minority leader in the 8th National Assembly as an uncommon senator whose performance touched every community in the senatorial district.

In their separate opinions they expressed satisfaction with legislative performance of the senator at St Lucy Catholic Church field,  Ukana,  Essien  Udim local government area, Saturday, during the senator’s multi- purpose empowerment programme for hundred of his constituents.

An All Progressives Congress chieftain and retired Deputy Inspector General of Police retired, (DIG) Udom Ekpoudom, commended Senator Akpabio for giving  his people what he described as uncommon effective representation of the people throughout his tenure in the National Assembly.

Ekpoudom noted that Senator Akpabio’s tenure at the senate from 2015-2019 was devoid of dull moments, and cluelessness but was characterized with proactive legislation and effective representation. 

He recalled that right from 2015, Senator Akpabio had taken passion in bankrolling multi- faceted empowerment and developmental projects not only in Ikot Ekpene senatorial district but also in Uyo as well as Eket senatorial districts.

“Nobody has ever achieved such pedigree. He is the bestsenator Akwa  Ibom  state has ever had since its creation.”

Other distinguished leaders who spoke in the same vein included  Arc Ubokutom Nya, former commissioner for rural development  and political stalwart in the district,  Dr Chris Akpan,  former commissioner in the state and  Chief Godwin Afangide.

The empowerment touched students and pupils, youths, women and the down trodden across the ten Local Government Areas of Akwa  Ibom  North-west senatorial district. 

Students and pupils who benefited from the scholarship grants expressed their deep  appreciation to Senator Akpabio for helping to give them qualitative education even in hard times such as experienced by their poor parents. 

Addressing the crowd Senator Akpabio said he was thankful to God Almighty for his sufficient grace in diverse perspectives throughout his tenure in the red chambers, despite seeming challenges.
