State Youth Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-south geopolitical zone have declared tbeir total support for the Minister of Niger Delta, Dr. Godswill Akpabio.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Youth Leaders’ retreat with President Muhammadu Buhari which was attended by the APC National Youth Leader, 36 State Youth Leaders and the National Chairman of the Party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, at the Presidential Villa at the weekend, the South-south youths passed a vote of confidence on the minister.
Akwa Ibom state APC youth leader, Comrade Stephen Ntukekpo deckared that “Chief Godswill Akpabio is a leading light of the All Progressives Congress. He has proven his worth by his full support for President Muhammadu Buhari and for our great Party through his activities in the Niger Delta Ministry.”
Also speaking, Cross River state Director of the Field Operations Directorate of President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 Presidential Campaign Committee and youth leader of the party, Mr. Effiom-Ekaha Otu, commended the Niger Delta Minister.
In his words, “We are passing this vote of confidence in Chief Akpabio because he is an outstanding South South leader who has repeatedly shown that governance is about the people, not self-promotion.
“During his eight years as Governor of Akwa Ibom, the Honourable Minister changed the face of the State and touched lives like never before – earning himself the sobriquet Uncommon Transformer. On assuming office as Minister, he has been a stickler for performance, committing himself to ensuring the speedy development of the Niger Delta region in tandem with his Ministry’s mandate.
“As representatives of the Party’s young people, we are happy to be associated with Chief Akpabio and we assure him of our unalloyed support across the South-south zone as he keeps up his exemplary leadership,” Otu added.
