Al-Makura condemns murder of late APC Chair

Senator representing Nasarawa South senatorial district senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, Monday, described as shocking the gruesome murder of Nasarawa state APC chairman Phillip Tatari Shekwo, by yet to be identified gunmen.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary Danjuma Joseph and made available to newsmen in Lafia, Senator Al-Makura described Shekwo’s death as painful, and called on the security personnel in the state to fish out his killers.
“I received the killing of our party’s chairman in my state  by unknown gunmen with great shock and disbelief. This is a man who is loyal and committed, who hardly hurt a fly,” he said.

He described the killing of the man he called his friend and brother, as devastating and a great loss to the state and the country at large.
The senator who described the late Shekwo, as a complete gentle man, said he had a very cordial working relationship with him for over five years, while he (Al-Makura) was the governor.
He then commiserated with the immediate family, governor Abdullahi Sule, APC family and the good people of the state over the loss.
He urged the bereaved family, the government and people of the state to take solace and pray to God to give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
