Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to sign a new deal with Liverpool following his recovery from injury.
Reports suggest his existing contract will be extended by 12 months, taking him up to 2023.
The 25-year-old recently returned to action following a year out with the knee injury suffered during last season’s Champions League semi-finals win over Roma.
He came on as a substitute in last week’s 5-0 win over Huddersfield at Anfield, and later wrote on social media: “Thank you to everyone who helped to get me back on the pitch, all of the staff at the club and my team-mates too.
” Also a big thank you to you, the fans, for supporting me in some of my darkest times as a player. “
“The reception I got tonight is something I’ll remember for life. Thank you.”
