Alkali calls for certified coaches in the NLO

Th e days of having uncertifi ed coaches at the technical bench of clubs in the Nationwide League One may soon be over as Mohammed Alkali , the chairman of NLO has said that the league body is set to organise a coaching clinic course for the coaches , especially for the ones without any form of coaching certifi cate to get them certifi ed. According to Alkali, football is evolving every season and it is not just enough to have coaches in NLO clubs who have the knowledge of the game as former footballers , but these coaches should endeavour to register for the Coerver coaching course certifi ed by FIFA for youth development since 2013.

“ We want our coaches to improve their technical knowledge of the game. Most of them do not even have basic certifcate in coaching course, but they have been trying their best to impact the younger footballers with knowledge of the game in developing these footballers. However, there is still a need for them to undergone a certifi ed coaching course certifi ed by FIFA,” Alkali said. He added that “ Th e coaching course will also teach the coaches all the rules regarding their activities as coaches especially on match days, as no coach has a right to call his players off the pitch as a result of a perceived wrong decision by the referee. Th e coaches will know their limit as a coach and we hope that any coach that will be on the technical bench in the NLO will be a certifi ed coach from next year.” Th e Coerver coaching course has helped in the development of hundreds of thousands of young people in the round leather game in over 40 countries in the world. Meanwhile, hostilities will resume this weekend in all the league venues of the Nationwide league across the federation
