AMAC chair urges Nigerians to support Buhari

Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido, has urged Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts to move the nation forward.
Candido, addressing All Progressives Congress (APC) Zonal rally in Nyanya Ward, said the “only good thing that happened to this nation today is that Buhari is in power to re-position the collapsed economy he inherited from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government.”
He said if Nigerians had made the mistake of returning PDP to power in 2015, there wouldn’t “have been Nigeria by now.”
“We should not be shy away from saying the fact, history will not forgive us if we fail to say it the way it is.
“A previous administration administered this nation for 16 years and happily it was cut short from its hopeful 60 years they wish to be in power to 16 years, because if the party had ruled the country for 60 years, there wouldn’t have been Nigeria again.
“But for only 16 years of their regime, Nigeria was almost dying and there was no country to be called Nigeria again in 2018, if that party had remained in power it would have been worst now,” he said.
Continuing, he said: “People may not understand why Buhari come to power this time around, this is a man in all the time he had the opportunity to come to power, and he is under herculean task.
“I am telling you, we must be praying to God to keep Buhari in power beyond 2019, so that we can have a country that we can call Nigeria. If we don’t pray for this government to succeed itself, we will all suffer for it.”
“Those who are used to stealing money are not happy with him and that is why they want to come back again. Go and tell them they must wait, because there is no vacancy in the Aso Rock. If we make a mistake of voting Buhari out in 2019, our children will not forgive us.”
Our correspondent reports that at the rally, the chairman presented four vehicles (Ford Focus) to undertake political movement in the four wards of the zone, which are Nyanya, Karu, Karshi and Orozo.
