AMAC opens bid for 60 projects

About 180 bids were Thursday opened by the tenders board of the Abuja

Municipal Area Council (AMAC) for the execution of 60 projects across the 12 political wards of the council.

Speaking during the opening of the bidding at the AMAC secretariat, the chairman of the tender’s board, who is the council chairman, Hon.

Abdullahi Adamu Candido, represented by the council secretary, Hon.

Ramat Abisola Abdullahi, explained that the council had put everything in place to ensure that the opening of the bids were transparent.

She further said they ensured that the bids were unveiled in the presence of all the bidders, adding that a technical committee would be set up after the processes to ensure that successful bidders are contacted.

Gaza, revealed that there most important thing in the bidding processes was to ensure that projects are done with higher quality, adding that AMAC would execute every project with the internally generated revenue (IGR).

In his remark, the deputy speaker of AMAC legislature, Hon. Gogara John Basa, commended the AMAC chairman for putting such a transparent opening of the year’s bidding in place, saying they were all satisfied with all the processes.

According to him, the legislatures would continue with their oversight functions to enable AMAC residents enjoy the dividends of democracy.
