American rapper, Shawty Lo, is dead

‘Dey Know’ star, Shawty Lo, 40, is dead following a tragic car crash.
Carlos Walker, famous for his hit ‘Dey Know’, was killed after his Audi smashed into two trees in Atlanta, forcing him to be ejected from the vehicle.
TMZ reports, Shawty Lo was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Atlanta radio DJ Ryan Cameron also announced the news on Twitter after hearing confirmation from Walker’s manager.

The 40-year-old’s sibling appears to have confirmed the news on the rapper’s official Twitter account today, paying tribute to his “spirit, his kind heart, and his music”.
They wrote: “My brother has passed he is no longer here but his spirit, his kind heart , and his music will live on Long live Shawty Lo King of Bankhead.”
It’s been claimed two more women in the car were injured and taken to a hospital. Just hours earlier, Shawty posted videos as he partied in a club, appearing in good spirits.
The star founded the group D4L, known for their hits ‘Laffy Taffy’. He won the Rookie of the Year BET Award in 2008.
He released his first solo record in 2007, and is also famous for hits including ‘Betcha Can’t Do it Like Me’ and ‘Foolish’. He is survived by 11 children by 10 former partners.
