Amoo expects better performance from NFF in 2020

Former Super Eagles fringe player and national U-23 assistant coach, Fatai Amoo has said that he said he expects the country’s football to thrive better than it did last year at all levels.

Amoo a former Julius Berger and Shooting Stars of Ibadan gaffer said apart from the Super Eagles who performed above average in 2019, other national teams score cards were nothing to write home about.

Speaking in a chat with journalists, the former First Bank Football all time scorer said he hopes the

Nigeria Football will reposition the sport at all levels in order to achieve the desired results in 2020.

He regretted that apart from the various national teams performing woefully at international competitions last year, the country’s male and female teams will be missing at next year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo.

“We hope we can see a better 2020 for Nigeria football in terms of result, talents discovery and administratively in all facets of football,”.

“So in all we did not do well generally, we cannot just take one team out of so many national teams because if we just say the Super Eagles, what about the other teams but I think looking at what has happened and what we have gone through I hope that 2020 will bring good tidings in terms of results, discovery of young talents and the administrative parts too,” he explained.
