Amotekun nabs 40-yr- old man with fresh human parts

A 40- year- old man is now in the net of the Oyo State Security Network, operation Amotekun for allegedly being in possession of fresh human parts.

The suspect, identified as Mutiu Abdul-Rasheed, according to the Commandant of Amotekun, Colonel Olayinka Olayanju (rtd), was arrested with fresh human hands and other body parts, which were paraded as exhibits.

Colonel Olayanju (rtd) who stated this in Ibadan Tuesday added that the suspect was investigated for months by operatives of Amotekun before he was apprehended .

He said as at present, some unnamed individuals are already “mounting pressure on him to release the suspect.”

Speaking further, Colonel Olayanju (rtd) listed items recovered from the suspect as guns, charms, decaying body parts, motorcycles and a car. He said the suspect would be handed over to the police for further investigation.

Responding to questions from journalists, the arrested suspect stated that he belonged to a syndicate that sources fresh human parts for some people by exhuming bodies of known people from burial grounds.

“We only exhume bodies that are known to us because we must know the dead person when he or she was alive. We must also know his or her name as well as the mother’s name,” he said.

The suspect added, “knowing the mother’s name of the dead person that we want to sell the body parts attracts extra cost from those that buy the human parts from us.”
