ANAC: Itshekiri, Udor are new sprint champions, Precious wins women long jump, qualifies for African Games

Itshekiri Ushorite ran 10.23secs to win the men 100m, while Joy Udor Gabriel ran 11.58secs to win the women 100m at the All Nigeria Athletics Championship ongoing in Kaduna. 

In the absence of top star, Divine Oduduru, Itshekiri claimed the title ahead of Adegoke Obaloluwa Enoch, who ran 10:25secs to win silver and foreign based Adeseye Ogunlewe who won bronze with 10:27secs.

Joy Udor claimed the women 100m gold in the absence of Blessing Okagbare – Iteghor and Tobiloba Amusan, beating Grace Nwokocha who ran 11:70secs to win silver and Rosemary Chukwuma who ran 11:74secs to win bronze medal. 

Isah Salisu of Customs won the men 400m with a time of 45:96secs, Orukpe Eraiyokan placed second after running 46:35secs, just as Shedrack Akpeki won bronze medal in 46:54secs. 

Rachael George ran 51:66secs to win the women 400m beating Favour Odili, who ran 5166secs to the second place, as Amarachi Obi won bronze medal in 52:03secs.

Meanwhile, Precious Okunbor jumped a distance of 6.05m to claim the national trials title at the All Nigerian Athletics Championship ongoing at Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

Precious also picked a ticket to the 12th Africa Games 2019 scheduled for August 19 to August 31, 2019 in Rabat, Morocco.

Fegor Clifford jumped 6.01m to win the silver medal and a place in the Nigerian squad to the Games, Victory George, who placed third with a jump of 5.85m, however missed the cut. 

Martins Ogierakhi ran 14.02secs to win the men 110m hurdles beating Osadolor Samuel of Efldo state who ran 14:16secs to win silver and Oyeniyi Abidoye of Customs who ran 14:37secs to win bronze.
