Anambra 2021: Okadigbo, others drum support for Uba’s aspiration

The former Senator for Anambra North District, Mrs Margery Okadigbo and her teaming supporters have thrown their weight behind the gubernatorial aspiration of Senator Andy Uba in the November 6 governorship election.

Okadigbo, who disclosed this at Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area during the inauguration of Senator Andy Uba Campaign Council, Oyi Chapter, explained that Uba was the best among those contesting for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) based on his experience in public service and capacity to win the election for the party.

She said the Uba campaign team comprising over 400 APC supporters from the 15 electoral wards in Oyi LGA, would mobilise support for the governorship hopeful to emerge at the APC party primary and the main governorship poll.

Other speakers including the former House of Representative aspirant for Oyi/Ayamelum federal constituency, Chief Ekene Enefe, urged the people of South East, especially, Anambra to disabuse their minds about APC and embrace the party as it had transformed the region in terms of infrastructure within six years of its existence.

According to Enefe, victory for APC in the state governorship poll under Uba as a candidate was a sure way for emergence of Igbo man as President of Nigeria in 2023.
