Anambra: CP assures free flow of traffics, monitors compliance

The Anambra state police Commissioner, John Abang, on Tuesday, assured commuters and other road users free flow of traffics throughout the Yuletide.
Abang, who disclosed this during his unscheduled visit to Onitsha Bridge Head and environs with other head of security chiefs, said the visit was to access police deployment and monitor traffic situation in the affected areas.

He said the command was complying to the directive by Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, and it was to be sustained beyond the period of festivities.

“As you can observe, there is free vehicular movements. Everyone will keep going about their activities without any obstruction throughout this season. The deployment includes aerial surveillance, patrols and traffic control.
“Anambra and other residents alike will celebrate Christmas and new year peacefully. On behalf of other Security Agencies in the State, I reassure you that the law enforcement agencies will continue to collaborate and ensure safety and security of all citizens before,  during and after the Christmas and new year celebrations,” he added.

The Police Commissioner had last week embarked on similar tour around the state during which he urged officers compliance.
