Anambra guber: APC aspirant promises transparent leadership

As Anambra state draws closer to moments of deciding a new leadership in its forthcoming governorship election, a frontline and hopeful aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2021 election, Amobi Nwokafor, has called on Nigerian leaders and politicians to be transparent, selfless in their dealings so as to give a vibrant leadership that will provide succor to the generality of our people.

He urged Nigerian leaders, especially the political class, to place high premium on national interest in all their undertakings.
“Let’s place high premium on national interest. Let’s put Nigeria first. Let’s put the youths and our state, Anambra, first before anything,” he said.

He further called on well-meaningful Nigerians to join hands and pool resources together to build the country we desire.
Nwokafor, while addressing his supporters across the state at Emmaus House, Awka, said he wants to come into governance with a difference that shall give Anambra people a sense of belonging, irrespective of political or religious divide.

Agbako Agbako II Awka, as he is popularly called by his fans, advised that “all should know that we were Ndi Anambra first before any other thing. Therefore, peace, progress, development and security of Anambra people should come first, in alliance with the objective of his government, designed to ensure that Anambra state is treated as a collective project, with a very high sense of responsibility, with a view to making it better for ourselves and generations yet unborn.”

He promised that the political, religious, social and economic policies of his government will bring about the much needed unity and peace which he described as a panacea for progress and development of the state, adding that his government will introduce a political culture where politicians and the people will work together to embrace and view politics as a means of seeking to serve the people to bring about development to them, rather than bickering, fighting and creating divisions.

With an agenda to make Anambra state stand out in the country, Nwokafor promised redefine and design a road map with a solid foundation for a steady rapid growth and development of the state, if elected, especially on issues bordering on agriculture, health, education, security, road construction, power, water, erosion and flood control, housing, sports, commerce/market, transport, enabling environment for both local and foreign investments and development of the capital city.

He assured that his government will unfold a gift of transparent and selfless service to the state in all sectors.
