Anambra: NULGE embraces peace as new leadership takes off


The newly elected leadership of Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Anambra state chapter, led by Comrade Chikwelu William Adigwe, on Thursday, assumed office with a promise to spearhead peace and unity in the union.


Adigwe, who took over from Comrade Jerry Nnubia, who is currently the state President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), threw an olive branch to his opponents, assuring that the needs of the workers would always be addressed.
On his part, the Senior Special Assistant to governor Obiano on Labour Matters, Comrade Godwin Ibekwe, called for cooperation between the union and government in order to engender harmonious relationship and improved welfare packages for the workers.


In an interview, the state Publicity Secretary of NULGE, Comrade Nnamdi Nweke, assured that the new leadership was ready to accommodate all to achieve greater height.
