Anambra police rescue 3 children stolen from Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Rivers

The Anambra state Police Command on Friday rescued three children stolen from their parents at Abia, Akwa Ibom and Rivers states.

The Anambra state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga, who disclosed this in a statement, gave the names of the recovered children as Master David Frang, aged eight; Miss Sarah Frang, aged three; and Master Chibuchi Sunday; aged seven.

According to him, they were recovered from individual suspects who were already in police custody after being interrogated.

Ikenga added, “We call on the public especially residents of Abia, Akwa-Ibom and Rivers states to help us identify these children, for a possible reunion with their parents. They are David Frang Male Age eight yearrs, Sarah Frang, female aged three years ,and Chibuchi Sunday, male aged seven years, were recovered from individual suspects who are already in custody.

“Given the confessions of the suspects, the children were taken away from their parents in the respective states mentioned above and brought to Anambra state. Therefore, anyone who knows the parents of these children should inform them to come to Anambra state Police Command with proof, while the Police command shall do the necessary checks before handing them over.
