Anambra security equipment to fish-out criminals communities

Anambra state government has posited that the Smart city security equipment recently launched in the state was capable of fishing out criminals in all parts of the state.

The Chief of Staff  to the State Government, Mr. Primus Odili, revealed this in a joint press briefing held alongside Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on creative  security, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Ben Chiobi, and the Special Adviser to governor on Security, Safety and Emergency, Mr. Chikaodi Anara on the plans of the state for Smart City security equipment launched last Friday.

According to Odili, governor Obiano was determined to use the security equipment to create enabling environment for professionalism, jobs creation and home for local and international investors.
He, however, explained that the security measure was not targeted at witch-hunting the citizens or the residents but urged criminals to either vacate the land or face prosecution as there was no hidden place for them.

On his part, the AVM Ben Chiobi, disclosed that the state government has trained people from both the security operatives and civilians on effective means of maintaining the security gargets.
Chiobi, who claimed that the Smart security equipment has a platform to capture images and footings of criminals in the state, added that they have control room to monitor the captured images and video by the cameras even as it is hosted on the cloud.

Contributing, Chikaodi Anara, submitted that the governor’s security network had not only solved the security challenges facing the state in the past but also opened doors for investors.
