Anambra State govt vows to seal fuel stations operating cooking gas

The Anambra state government has vowed not hesitate from sealing off all filling stations operating cooking gas plants within their premises.

According to the Chairman Enforcement and Compliance Unit of the state, Prince Innocent Offordile, operating gas and fuel station in the same premises was illegal and high risk to residents especially in event of fire outbreak.

Offordile regretted that the practice was becoming rampant even though the state government had issued notice to operators to stop it.

He also disclosed that the state frowned at citing filling stations within residential areas, which he said the government would deal with defaulters.

The Chairman, therefore, maintained that his team would in no distant time clampdown the defaulters of the order as soon as they get directive from the state government.
