Another Nigerian club involved in road crash, players, officials escape death

A Nigerian club, Oyah Sport, participating in the Nigeria National League (NNL) was on Saturday morning involved in a road accident around Keffi.

The Abuja-based club were on their way to Taraba to honour their NNL match scheduled for Sunday.

An official of the club who disclosed the development via WhatsApp message simply wrote, “Good morning all, we Oyah Sports FC just had accident at Keffi Road whilst on our way to Jalingo, Tabara to honor our match for tomorrow.

“Thanks to the Almighty God no serious casualties apart from our Technical Adviser and two players that has a broken legs and broken shoulder.. 6 other players sustained injuries whilst I, the Chairman has serious neck and leg pain.”

Oyah Sports on Thursday lost their match 0-1 versus NAF FC in Abuja before travelling for another encounter as the football season winds down gradually.

Several clubs including Wikki Tourist of Bauchi have been involved in road crash in recent times.
