The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State has dismissed the recent protest by some youths against the Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Implementation Committee, Brig. Gen.Paul Boroh, saying he is worthy ambassador of President Buhari’s campaign on probity and accountability.
The APC from the home ward of Brig. General Paul Boroh, in Trofani community of Sagbama Local Government Area in Bayelsa State, condemned in strong terms the recent protest by the youths against the Amnesty Office, describing the protest as sponsored.
“We pledge our unalloyed support to the party, APC & our leader, Chief T Slyva and urge all hands to be on deck.”
The APC in a statement issued yesterday by the ward chairman, Smart Afimamowei, stated that the party has reviewed allegations raised by the youths and condemned in strong terms those calling for the removal of the amnesty boss.
“It should be on record that Boroh is living up to the billings of the high integrity rating of PMB hence his penchant for due process, transparency and accountability. We hereby call on all-meaning Bayelsans and Niger Dealtans to support the Buhari administration in its quest to improve the lot of ex-agitators through the office of the co-ordinator of the amnesty programme. “
“We equally urge all genuine ex-agitators to channel all perceived grievances through authorized and legitimate routes instead of deploring the element of unprotected protest which maybe hijacked by miscreant and social misfits.”
On the forthcoming 2019 elections, the APC called on the State leader of the Party, Chief Timipre Sylvia and other stakeholders to work in harmony to make the 2019 Presidential election & other elections a huge success with an overwhelming majority of votes for our candidates.”
