Anxiety as ritualists murder octogenarian, removes organs in Taraba


An unidentified Ritualists on Saturday murdered an 80-year-old-woman, Hannatu Kefas, in Karim Lamido local government area of Taraba state.

Her dead body was discovered five days she left her house to the farm in Kodei village in Karmi Lamido LGA of the state.
It was gathered that her dead body was found with her eyes, tongue, breast, private part, nails and other sensitive organs removed.


The in-law to late Hanatu, Khadimoh Dani Ishaku, while narrating the incident said the woman who was a peasant farmer left her house to the farm in Kodei village in Karmi Lamido LGA when she was murdered by the unidentified ritualists.
He said the woman was murdered close to a popular bar joint known as forest parliament in Angwa Giwa Tafadi in Karim Lamido where miscreants use to carry out their evil activities.


It was learnt that the murder of the old woman was the fifth time that such ugly incident has occurred in the area.
Some residents of the Kodei village who condemned the ugly act called on security agencies to take proactive measures to ensure that perpetrators of this bad behavior are brought to book.


But when contacted, the spokesman of the Taraba state police command, ASP David Missal, confirmed it, but said he was yet to be briefed if the woman’s organs were removed.
