APC, ANN reps candidates in Ebony deny forgery allegation

The House Representative candidate sof All Progressive Congress (APC) pharmacist Anthony Ekoh  and  Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) Maria Ude Nwachi have debunked  allegations by Barrister Iduma Igariwey of Peoples Democratic Party PDP.

Igariwey   who currently represents Afikpo north and south federal constituency had on Tuesday filed a suit at the federal high court Abakaliki contesting the academic qualifications of Ekoh and Ude Nwachi.

However Mr Ekoh while speaking to journalists in Abakaliki described the allegations as laughable.

He said: “It was just yesterday that I learnt about the suit. Meanwhile, I discovered that the matter was filed since November 8, 2018 in Abuja but nobody served me.

“This is laughable. If I want to fake result, I won’t even go to a place as close as UNN here. I would have gone far to do it.

“I did my internship in EBSUTH then but I have a lot of my classmates who are even working in FETHA today. After that, I got registered as a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria. I have my registration number and I renew my licence every year. The records are there.”

Similarly Maria Ude Nwachi of ANN described iduma as desperate.

She said :“The man is very desperate. He is drowning heavily so he coming up with all manner of antics. The only way he can beat someone like me is when I am disqualified.

“There is no way I can fake an American document. My documents are correct. He is just doing what he wants to do because he is not seeing any way out of the situation. How can one fake an American document? You must be mad to even try that.

“If you’re going to another college, it is the previous college you attended that will send your document to the other college. You hardly see anything. You can’t even fake it”.
