APC chairmanship: ‘Oshiomhole still best option’

An All Progressive Congress (APC) Support Group, Proudly APC, has declared that a former governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole, was the best and charged him to throw his hat in the ring in the forthcoming elective congress of the party with a view to taking over the party’s leadership from Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
The group, in a statement by its leader and secretary, Dele Fulani and Hon. Bashir Saba, respectively, in Abuja yesterday, noted that “in view of the latest development in the party, Adams Oshiomhole remains the best person to lead the party to victory, come next year.
” The statement read in part: “Our great party has come of age.
In 2015, we overwhelmingly came to power under the Change Mantra and a lot has happened since that landmark victory.
As we prepare for another election to appoint new leaders for our great party, it is evident we need tested men and women with fresh ideas and energy to take us to the next level.
“We more than convinced that Adams Oshiomhole possesses the right leadership and negotiating skill, integrity, dignity and ability to consolidate the gains of the party-going forward.
In fact, during his working visit to Edo state in 2016, President Buhari had predicted a higher call to service for the former revered labour leader.”
