APC chieftain warns those campaigning for 2023

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief Nduka Anyanwu has waned some politicians to desist from distracting President Muhammadu Buhari by initiating campaigns for political offices for 2023.

The chieftain, who congratulated President Buhari and the APC over it’s recent victory at the Supreme Court, urged those individuals and groups to give the president the breathing space to focus and governance for the benefit of the people.

Chief Anyanwu said it was unfair and distraction to the president for some people to start 2023 agitation barely six months after 2019 elections.

He urged the gladiators in the ruling APC and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to allow President Buhari deliver good governance in the next two years before heating up the polity.

In a statement Tuesday in Abuja, Anyanwu, who is also the APC ex-officio representing South-east, cautioned that if the ongoing distractions are not curtailed, it may negatively affect the good intention of the president for the nation.

The APC chieftain, who is the board chairman, Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON)  said: “The victory of Mr President at the Supreme Court is a good omen for the country.

“This is a man of integrity with best intention to fix some of the problems confronting Nigeria. President Buhari is laying a solid foundation for the betterment of our nation, so we must that the judiciary for upholding the will of the people at the presidential election,” the APC national officer stated.

While expressing displeasure over some groups and individuals within and outside the ruling party who are already talking about the 2023 presidential election, Chief Anyanwu urged that such should not be the focus for mow but how the party will deliver on its promises.

“Politics should be about the development of our land. We just finished an election about six months ago and people are already heating up the polity, this is not right. Let us allow Mr President to focus on how to deliver some of his good intentions God willing.

“Our party, the APC is well organised party. It at the right time the party leadership will bring out the template to determine who become what. So, I appeal to party members and other Nigerians in opposition parties to give this government a chance to deliver.

“The Supreme Court has determined the winner and the loser, it is time to develop our nation, let all, irrespective of our political affiliation, support President Buhari’s led government and the APC to take the country the promised “Next Level.”
