A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Kano state, Abdussalam Abdulkareem Zaura, popularly known as A.A Zaura, has vowed to raise political climate in the state.

Zaura made this known during a meeting of his zonal coordinators held at Tourist Camp, Kano, Kano state, as contained in a statement by his media aide, Al-Amin Ciroma.

“Our coming in to the Africa’s largest political party, APC, is to bring development, to make progress, to make peace, to raise the political spirit of the party, and to give the party a new vibe. Everybody shall feel the vibe, we will keep the tempo till 2023,” Mr Zaura said.

Zaura also extended his appreciation to Governor Abdullah Ganduje, the national and state leadership of the APC, all party stakeholders in Kano, as well as the teeming population of the state, for according to him a standing ovation during his formal reception into the party.

Mr Zaura, who is a former Kano state governorship candidate under Green Party of Nigeria (GNP), assured the state government that his grand entrance into the APC would be a unifying factor for the party in the state, promising to rally around the administration’s policy objectives.

He commended Governor Ganduje and his leadership style of supporting the youth in the state, saying: “Indeed, this administration under Gov Ganduje is youth friendly, and people oriented.

“When one looks around the governor’s appointees and strategic officials in the State, one would see youths who exude intelligence and foresight providing their expertise towards assisting the governor achieve his mission of transforming Kano State,” he added.

According to him, the governor’s policies and programs have made many youths engaged and self-reliant, adding that little wonder the state is now one of the most peaceful states in the country.

“Even a blind man can see how His Excellency Gov Ganduje, wonderfully transformed Kano State from the infrastructure, social welfare to the entrenchment of good governance. “All these are as a result of Ganduje’s policies and programs that have direct bearing on the lives of majority of the people of the state,” he stressed.

Mr Zaura, therefore, called on all former GPN members that defected to the APC with him to redouble their support to the Ganduje administration, especially his vision of making Kano a viable commercial state.

He said: “I also want to call on Kajo people to continue to support the policies and programs of the State government in securing the State.

“I urge the people to stay away from acts that could undermine the efforts of the State government in securing the lives and property of the people in the state and in the nation as a whole.”
