APC entrenches poverty, hunger – Presidential aspirant

Nigerians have been urged to blame the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration for entrenching poverty, hunger and unnecessary hardship on the common man.
The PDP Presidential aspirant and Former Minister of Special Duties, Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, said the APC administration has in the last three years demonstrated incompetence and misplaced priorities. Turaki, who made the call while addressing party supporters in Birnin kebbi, said the APC administration that took over the mantle of nations affairs barely three years ago has nothing to show to Nigerians in terms of even development.
He adduced that the administration has only succeeded in entrenching poverty and hunger amongst Nigerians noting the electorate who supported the President during the campaigns are disappointed that they have been abandoned. “I want to tell you that during the PDP time many investors were wooed to come into this country and they invested in the country.
But today many of them had to look for an alternative country for the safety of their investments because of the prevailing insecurity situation, epileptic power supply and multiple hikes in payments of duties and demurrage” He lamented that many businesses have been closed down thereby increasing unemployment in the country and throwing many households into confusion, hardship and almost hopeless future. He further alleged that even the Local businessmen are not finding it easy under the APC-led federal administration because of high inflation rate and instability in prices of items.
Also, he said the government does not care about consumer protection culture as long as its targeted revenue are paid into its coffers, a situation he described as unrealistic and undemocratic. Turaki appealed Nigerians to give the PDP another chance to restore economic sanity to the country and return smiles on the lips of Nigerians.
