APC expels Buhari’s man one month to 2023 presidential election

Former special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters, Ita Enang, has been expelled by the All Progressives Congress (APC) over anti-party activities.

The Akwa Ibom state working committee of the party approved the recommendation for his expulsion.

In a letter signed by the state party Chairman, Hon. Obong Leo Steven Ntukekpo, the former presidential aide is alleged to have been holding clandestine meetings with the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state with a view to undermining APC’s chances in the general election and had done so in defiance of the directives of the party.

The 50-year-old politician had represented the Itu and Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State in the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2011.

Thereafter, he was elected Senator for the Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District (Uyo) from 2011 to 2015.
