APC got Osun through back door – Sambo

APC-PRESS-BRIEFING-(8)Vice-president, Namadi Sambo, yesterday said the current governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola, and the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) got their current mandate in Osun state through the back door.

Sambo, who stated this in Abuja during a strategic meeting of the national campaign committee of the Osun governorship election that lasted for close to two hours behind closed doors, added that the party had set in motion plans to capture the state, come August 9.
Speaking before they went into a close door session, Sambo said the PDP was making “efforts to ensure that we bring back Osun to where it belongs. We all know that Osun belongs to PDP. Those people there now never went through a successful election.”

He said: “PDP as a party respects elders, traditional rulers, the youth, women and everybody. We are a peaceful party and we are looking forward to have a peaceful election in Osun state.
“I want to assure you that the mandate that was taken through the back door will come back to PDP as it was seen after the election in Ekiti state. The people will now have the chance to choose for themselves where they belong and they belong to PDP..”
The vice-president assured the party and the committee that he would continue to work “diligently to ensure PDP wins backs Osun state.”
