APC registration: Political office holders, others turnout en masse

The All Progressive Congress (APC), political office holders, stalwarts and other stakeholders in Malumfashi local government area of Katsina state have continued to turnout en masse to register for the membership card of the party.

Our correspondent that monitored the exercise revealed that at most of the centres, women and youths were seen trying to get the new party registration card.

Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, the Special Adviser on Economic Empowerment and Social Investment, in a chat with journalists shortly after registering at the Galadima “A” polling unit, said obtaining the card will strengthen the party to make more impact in the state and the nation at large.

Abdulkadir also said the card would ensure the participation for all in the selection of candidates of choice especially during primaries.

He therefore urged party faithful to register to avoid being schemed out of its activities.

Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki, the Managing Director State Water Board, on his part, called on women and youths not to let the registration exercise to pass them.

Ibrahim said he would continue to enlighten the people on the importance of the exercise and commended the party for making adequate arrangements to ensure its success.

Others who trooped out for the registration exercise, include Hon Aminu Ibrahim Acid, the state Assembly member representing Malumfashi constituency, Alhaji Aminu Lawal Kwastam, the council party secretary, Mansur Banki, former LG Chairman and Alhaji Sagir Bala Karfi who in there separate remarks expressed satisfaction with the timely registration of both old and new party members.
