The 2023 Senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), for Jigawa Central, Honourable Tijjani Ibrahim Gaya, is dead.
According to reports, he died in a hospital in China after he was admitted in a private hospital in Abuja some weeks back.
Gaya was once a Member, House of Representatives, representing Dutse/Kiyawa federal constituency for two terms and latter decamped to ruling APC after losing election in 2015.
In his condolence massage, Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, expressed shock over the demised of the senatorial candidate.
The governor, described late Tijjani Gaya as “a man of honor, a great leader, and a role model to the younger generation who has sacrificed his whole life to serve the common man”.
So far, many top politicians had sent their condolences to the bereaved family of the late politician, including the PDP governorship candidate, Mustapha Lamido, and Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu.
