APC stakeholders threaten to vote out Ortom

Stakeholders of Benue chapter of All Progressive Congress, (APC) have
threatened to vote out Governor Samuel Ortom of the Peoples Democratic
Party, (PDP) in governorship election scheduled to hold next month in
the state.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja over the weekend, the Chieftain of the
party, Garus Gololo accused Governor Ortom of mismanaging the bailout
fund given to him by President Muhammadu Buhari to enable him pay
workers salary.

He said the citizen of Benue state would resist any move by PDP to
vote in Ortom for second term in office unless he explains how he use
the bailout money and other loans he collected for the purpose of
developing the state with nothing to show on ground.

Gololo said: “How well has Governor Ortom managed Benue state funds?
He collected bailout of N28bn in September, 2015, Paris Club of
refund, N13.7bn, N13.7bn, N11.6bn in September, November and December,
2016, 2017 and 2018, respectively.

“Also in June 2015, July, 2015, November, 2015 and September 2018,
Ortom collected take off loan, N10bn, development counterpart loan,
N5.5bn, critical infrastructure loan, N12bn and UBA Bank loan, N3.5bn,
respectively. All this money was collected by the governor without
doing anything, no physical projects commissioned in Benue state by
him,” he added.

The APC Chieftain called on the governor to stop using Fulani names to
campaign, condemning the N2.5billion spend on meat in the state,
saying that he should tell the state who and who benefited from the
meat.

He further called on all Benue people to come out massively and vote
Ortom out of office,

saying  that he is not qualified to be the governor for second term.
