APC stalwart hails Buhari over rehabilitation of Yola-Hong-Mubi road

A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Adamawa state, Malam Hamisu Idris Medugu, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the rehabilitation of Yola-Hong-Mubi road in the state.

In a press release in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, Medugu thanked the president for the positive consideration of the state in his policy implementation.

He appreciated President Buhari for being a true father to Nigerians, especially to the people of Adamawa state.

Medugu said the Buhari administration was of great value to humanity, as demonstrated in the capital and human development projects it has executed, which will stand the test of time.

The APC chieftain also commended the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Barrister Boss Mustapha, for his absolute loyalty President Buhari.

He said the loyalty of Mustapha to Mr President is a major factor attracting good things to Adamawa state.

“Sir Boss, thank you for being a faithful public servant to the core. We are proud of you, a loyal party man who sticks to Buhari’s principles of leadership,” said Medugu.

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) had during its meeting in Abuja on Wednesday approved the revised estimated cost N29,826,449,000.00, thereby revising the initial contract from the original N21,841,578,000.00 to N51,668,027,000.00, and an additional period of 24 months for completion of the Yola-Hong-Mubi road in Adamawa state.

FEC had earlier on June 15, 2022, approved the award of the contract for the rehabilitation of Kashimbila-Takum-Chanchanji road in Taraba state. These approvals are all aimed at facilitating the reconstruction of infrastructure in the North-east zone that is devastated by the Boko haram insurgency and giving Nigerians a new lease of life.

FEC also approved the reimbursement of funds expended for the construction of federal roads by the Yobe state government.
