APC support groups back Bulama as party scribe

A coalition of the APC support groups has thrown its weight behind the candidature of Architect Mustapha Waziri Bulama the National Secretary of the APC.

The coalition said if national integration and all-inclusiveness is to be achieved for the betterment of the party, Bulama remains the preferred choice.

The position became vacant following the resignation of the former scribe to contest for Yobe governorship in the 2019 general elections.

The endorsement was made during a stakeholders meeting in Abuja chaired by the chairperson of the technical committee, Dr Fati Mohammed Goni.

The committee chairperson reeled out some of the laudable strides of Bulama in the party particularly during the 2019 general elections where he served as the Buhari Campaign Organisation’s deputy director general.

The task, the committee said, enabled him to bring out aggressive and vote-winning strategies that ensured the victory of the party at the polls.

If given the chance to become the next APC national secretary, Goni said most of the rancor and administrative imbalance would be addressed.

“The position of national secretary of any party is key and sensitive, and as such only competent and result-oriented player can occupy such position.

She further implored party faithful to put sentiments, favouritism and self-centred interest aside and rally round Bulama for efficiency to up lift of the party at all levels.

She also commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the cordial relationship that has existed between them in their zeal to deliver the best to Nigerians.
