Members of the youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) United Kingdom branch, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to consider the National Youth leader of the party in Nigeria, Dayo Israel for the post of minister of youth.
The leadership of the party, in a statement signed by Hajia Sekinat Adams and Prince Samuel Omotayo stated that Israel deserved the position, because during the electioneering he was in the forefront championing the message of renewed hope to Nigerians at home and abroad.
“The APC UK Youth wing wants to appeal to our father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to please appoint our National Youth Leader, Hon. Dayo Israel as the substantive minister of youth of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Hon. Dayo Israel was in the forefront of the Renewed Hope agenda during the
campaigns both home and abroad. We held a Diaspora interactive session with Hon. Dayo Israel at the Lambeth Town council chambers prior to the elections on the 30th of July 2022 with Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan (Yayi), Hon. Saka Fafunmi
and other dignitaries from Nigeria in attendance. It was an event that kick-started the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President in the Diaspora as Nigerians young and old came from far and near.”
The APC youth wing noted that Hon Israel was also with them virtually for all their virtual campaign programmes as the presidential campaign gathered momentum.
The APC youth stated that the contribution of Hon. Israel to their post election programme was immense, “the programme with the theme; “Investment And Entrepreneurship: Gateway To New Nigeria” had technocrats from around the world come together to discuss Nigeria as a destination of choice for investment as the new Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was about to be inaugurated.”
