A senatorial aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Sale Sahbi Darangi has promised better dividends of democracy in 2019.
Darangi, a former gubernatorial aspirant in Niger state spoke Tuesday in Abuja shortly after he picked his nomination form from the APC headquarters to run for Niger North senatorial district.
Speaking to journalists, he said:”I feel very elated going to achieve this aspiration of bringing progress and development to my people in Niger North.
“The journey has just begun and I believe in God that in the next four years, our people will be smiling home because of the kind of dividends of democracy that will be given to them through my representation.” He lamented that the people of Zone C have been far left behind, saying:”We know our problems which is the kind of leadership we have always had.” He said that leaders have not given the region much attention needed in terms of infrastructural development and man power development to national cake that accrues to the people as a result of bad and uncommitted leadership style at all levels.
The senatorial aspirant further urged the people of the zone to vote wisely as they are already aware of their problems, adding that the success of the primaries that is about to hold on the 27th of September 2018 should be kept as history.
Seeking the support of his people, he said “give me your support and that kind of encouragement you have been giving me all through our campaign periods.”
