The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Sunday declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Rt. Hon. Mark Bako Usan, as the winner of the supplementary election for House of Representatives to represent Ussa/Donga/ Takum federal constituency.
The returning officer, Prof. Luka Juma, while declaring the result of the election in Takum LGA said Useni, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) scored a total votes of 25, 929 to win the election.
He said the second runner for the election who is the candidate of the New Nigerians People’s Party (NNPP) and a serving member of House of Representative for the Ussa, Takum, Donga, Hon Riman Shaulu scored 25, 350 to come second in the election while the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Istifanus Gbana, scored 20, 234 to come third in the keenly contested election.
